Delete your account and data
Last updated 2026-08-22
You can delete your EditTextImage account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it, and both remove the same things.
1. From inside the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately — no request queue, no waiting period.
- Open EditTextImage on your phone.
- Tap the account icon in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Yes, delete my account.
2. By email
If you cannot open the app — you changed phones, lost access to the Google or Apple account you signed in with, or removed the app already — email us and we will do it for you.
- Write to contact@edittextimage.com with the subject Delete my account.
- Send it from the email address the account uses, so we can match it without asking you for anything else.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days and reply once it is done.
3. What deletion removes
Deleting the account erases, permanently and without recovery:
- Your identity on the account — email address, name, profile picture, and the IP address and country recorded when you signed up.
- Every image you uploaded, every edited result, and the preview and download copies generated from them. The files are deleted from our storage, not merely unlinked.
- Your entire edit history.
- Any credits still on the balance. They are forfeited and cannot be restored or transferred.
- Every sign-in session and the link to your Google or Apple account. Signing in again afterwards creates a genuinely new account, not a recovered one.
4. What is kept, and why
Purchase records are kept. Tax and accounting law requires a seller to retain proof of transactions for several years, and that obligation outlives the customer relationship.
Those records hold no personal data of their own: the identifying fields all live on the account, and the account has been scrubbed by then. What remains is an anonymous ledger entry — an amount, a date and a product — attached to an account that no longer identifies anyone.
5. Images are removed after seven days anyway
You do not have to delete your account to have your pictures deleted. Uploads and results are kept for a maximum of seven days, then removed automatically by a job that runs every day. That applies to every account, whether or not you ever ask for anything.
Download anything you want to keep before that window closes — once the files are swept they are gone from our side.
